Payment

Payment is due at the time of the appointment. Payment by credit/debit card is accepted only. If a scheduled appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours of its scheduled time, you will be charged for the whole session.

Unfortunately, I provide services out of network and therefore do not accept insurance, which includes Medicare. My focus is more patient centered, allowing me more flexibility and attention to detail that would be more constrained and itemized if using third-party payors.

There is also benefit to the patient for using an out of network psychiatrist. Regularly, insurance companies require an immediate psychiatric diagnosis, along with its severity prior to reimbursement. In addition, there is significant charting requirements that often times negate patient care. I believe that an individual is more than an itemized checklist of criteria and private pay allows for enhanced privacy and confidentiality. Your personal information will not be shared with insurance companies, especially when one is concerned about pre-existing health condition on their medical record. Sometimes, if you choose to utilize out-of-network benefits from your insurance company they may request an itemized health receipt. Many plans may reimburse a portion of the visit fee, medication costs and lab fees. I cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed by insurance and I may be unable to provide additional documentation that insurance may require. If insurance coverage is a priority, I would highly recommend seeking an in-network provider instead of working with me.
